What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? Understand, man is the last thing God created and later said the last would be first. If we don't find out what we were created for, we are forever under a curse. Worse than that, all of society is after the man. For many generations that man has been under attack and in many cases because of prior generations knowledge is what this man has lacked. Knowledge and awareness of ones self, as men we often pick up the traditions of others and put our gifts and ambitions away on the shelf. As men and mankind as a whole, we must stand far something or fall for everything for real!
Let Us Make Man
Let us make man, which is not where the story starts but simply where life begins. During the six-day period according to sacred scripture, God created every living thing. He said let there BE and it was, think of the power in that! Let there BE light (Genesis 1:3) and God saw the light and that it was good (approving it), God went to work dividing the light from the darkness (Genesis 1:4). As God went on to create and bring to order the natural resources that make up this earth; He spoke and things appeared. Next, God created animals and all other creeping things that man would soon have dominion over. You see, even from the very beginning God had man-kind on his mind!
God said, let the earth bring forth the beast of the field and make animals and livestock according to their kind (Genesis 1:25). Now, when all else was complete God said let us (Elohim, the Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit) make man in our image and after our likeness and let him (man) have dominion over all things (Genesis 1:26). From there, He goes on to create man (male and female) in the image of God himself (spirit, soul, body). So when God created man, he created a replica of the Father out of material that didn’t already exist. After God made man in an image of his son, the exact representation of his being and expressed image of God (Hebrews 1:3). Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation. (Colossians 1:15 NLT) 16For through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see; such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers in the unseen world. Everything was created by him and for him.
Still, no man appeared or came into existence with all that God had said. God blessed man (kind) and tells us to BE fruitful, multiply and fill the earth. Not only having authority but also dominion over all things (Genesis 1:28). God said see, (giving sight to all) I have given man all they need with plants and animals for food. Still there was no man, only the image of the Perfect God which He continued to speak into. This means God formed the “us” that doesn’t exist far before the “you” that does exist. All this was done in six days. On the seventh, the heavens, earth and everything in them were complete. And God finished His work and rested. This form of rest was not as though he was tired or chilling out to take a nap but as though there was nothing left to do! His rest was as an attorney rest his case.
So on this day, God rested not as one who was weary but as one who was well pleased with his own goodness and the manifestation of His Glory. The feeling of taking a long-awaited well deserved vacation. This rest wouldn’t last forever, at some point we must get back to the work we we’ve been called to do. Going back to work God made man (Genesis 2:7) because there was no one to work the ground’s “natural (God given) resources”. God formed man (‘s body) from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the (image) breathe of life and man became a living soul. And from there we know where the story goes, man fell for the bait because he did not know he had been chose. It’s time to make men so we must stay on our toes, and turn the worst of foes into the best of bros.
