What’s good with it? Same old same ‘o my way. Remaining true to the cause while staying sucker free. It is a real struggle out here but there is no temptation known to man that God has not made a way of escape. I know that this road at times get difficult to us all, for no one is exempt from experiencing trials and tribulations but what matters is how we handle them and whether we grow better or bitter as a result of what we go through. Me personally, I have been struggling a great deal lately to fight the urges to return to an unproductive lifestyle after all the progress I have made over the past five years I’ve been out of the streets. After much deliberation I boiled my issue down to one of two things and possible both. One is that I was allowing my circumstance to affect and infect my situation. Also I was in need of patience. You see thae devil knows how to strike our emotional cords to get us to do the thing that may very well be the very last thing we may need to be considering.
In the Bible it says in James 1:4-8 King James Version (KJV) 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. My lack of patience has caused me to waver and be unstable by taking time away from the positive lifestyle movement to research how to best do what everyone else is doing and that chasing the money. But like our brother Shawn said last month, there is much more to life then being posted on the block with a bag!! The devil want me in their with y’all because he don’t want this movement to continue on but I must carry on!
The pressure is real but God is realer and He has not brought you nor me this far to leave us where we are. So I encourage you to hold fast to your faith and to continue in what if believe if it is the truth of our Lord and Saviors unmatched power to deliver us from all hurt, harm and danger. For it is he who gives us the power to endure. WE must continue to grow and build upon what we know and are convinced of to be true. Lie and death is in the power of the tongue so we must confess what we want to see and denounce and rebuke everything that is against his will so that we will be ready for the coming of the Lord and to do His work on earth until that time comes.
2 Timothy 3 New International Version (NIV)
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
A Final Charge to Timothy
10 You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. 12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
This is God’s word for you from me…
Blessings as we keep it G,
